Utilisation

Sterilization

Before first use and between each cycle, sterilize the disc in boiling water for 5 minutes, making sure it does not touch the bottom of the pot.

Insertion

Wash your hands.

Pinch the disc in half to make it as narrow as possible, then insert it towards the back of the vagina.

Push it all the way in, then gently tuck the front of the disc behind the pubic bone so that it stays securely in place.

Removal

Wash your hands.

Slide a finger under the rim or into the notch of the disc, then gently untuck the front from behind the pubic bone.

Slowly pull the disc out, keeping it as horizontal as possible to prevent it from spilling.

Entretien

After each use, rinse the menstrual disc with cold water, then wash it with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.

Between each cycle, sterilize it in boiling water for 5 minutes.

Let it air dry, then store it in its pouch until your next use.

Can you have sex with a menstrual disc?

Yes. Unlike a menstrual cup, the disc sits high enough in the vaginal canal to remain in place during some types of penetrative sex. However, depending on your anatomy and its position, it may still be felt, and a completely leak-free experience cannot be guaranteed.
